FAQ

If I use contraceptives for a long time, will it really be difficult to have a baby?

Not all birth control pills today result in infertility. It is possible to become pregnant after stopping birth control pills because the hormones contained in each birth control pill do not remain in your system after stopping use. There are different durations for each type of birth control pill. We can have a chance to get pregnant naturally.

But if it’s been more than a year since you stopped taking contraceptives and you haven’t had a baby yet, it’s possible that you’re infertility due to other factors. You should immediately see a specialist to find out the real cause.

When should you seek the advice of an infertility specialist?

For those under 35 years old: If you have tried to conceive naturally for at least 1 year and have not succeeded, you should consult a specialist to determine the cause of infertility.

💚If you are between 35 and 40 years old : You should seek advice from a medical professional if you have been trying to conceive for 6 months but have not succeeded.

You don’t need to wait for natural methods because there may be risks of various genetic diseases. Consulting with a medical professional to find out the cause and fix it on the spot increases the chances that you will see your baby sooner.”

What’s the difference between identical twins and fraternal twins ?

Identical twins are formed from an egg that is fertilized by a sperm, which divides into two embryos during cell division, eventually developing into two fetuses. They will be genetically identical, regardless of sex or appearance. Fraternal twins are born when a woman ovulates two eggs during that month and each egg is fertilized by a different sperm until it develops into two babies growing inside the woman’s uterus at the same time. Thus, fraternal twins can have different body shapes, faces and genders.

Nowadays, medical technology has advanced to make it easier for mothers to have twins. in the treatment of infertility Sometimes doctors need to insert more than one embryo to increase the chances of success. It turns out that many mothers are more likely to have twins.”

Is embryo transfer in the frozen cycle really better than the fresh cycle?

Frozen embryo transfer is the transfer of the embryo back into the uterus, not the ovulation and egg collection cycle. Usually, they are transferred the next month after preparation of the uterus. The embryos are frozen and stored before being thawed for transfer to the uterine cavity.

The advantages of frozen cycle embryo transfer are as follows:

  • Able to prepare the uterus for embryo transfer
  • Able to Chromosome Test (NGS) to find genetic abnormalities
  • Able to reduce the problem of ovarian hyperstimulation

Therefore, frozen embryo transfer has a high chance of pregnancy success.

What is the difference between IVF and ICSI treatment?

Both in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) are fertilization of eggs and sperm outside the body. The difference is the fertilization process. IVF (In-vitro Fertilization) is the fertilization of eggs and sperm in a laboratory. While ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) involves selecting a single healthy sperm and using a needle to inject it directly into the egg to increase the chances of fertilization.

Success Case

Case 1

I started to consult at IVF & Women Clinic since 2020, but at that time I wanted to get pregnant naturally first. The doctor advised me to use egg stimulation pills and ultrasound. Finally I was able to get pregnant naturally but I lost my baby. After 2 years, I came back to the clinic and opted for ICSI and chromosome testing. According to the doctor’s advice, I have sent 5 embryos for chromosomal analysis, but only 1 is normal. I decided to put it back in the uterus. Today I became a mother. Thank you very much to the doctor and IVF & Women Clinic.

Case 2

I was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) with an AMH of 13.41. The doctor advised me to treat PCOS first and then treat infertility through ICSI and chromosome testing. Finally, I had my first child after many years of trying. Thank you to the doctor and all the staff involved.

Case 3

I had my first child from IVF & Women Clinic and I am planning to have my second child. I contacted the clinic to plan on inserting the frozen embryos from the first round of treatment. But the problem is that I don’t get pregnant twice even though I have fertile embryos. This time the doctor recommended me to have a laparoscopy to look at abnormalities of the uterine cavity. I found out that I had an abnormal uterine cavity which was a major cause of the non-implantation of the embryo. The doctor advised me to treat the uterine cavity followed by preparing the uterine wall before embryo transfer. As a result, today I have my second child.
